Find Your Way Around the Oregon Wine Country
An Oregon Wine Map will help you get acquainted and explore all the different varieties and wine tasting opportunities available in Oregon. A world class wine state, Oregon has more than seventy-two varieties of wine produced in three hundred wineries and fifteen approved wine-growing regions.
Blessed with some of the most beautiful and diverse landscapes for growing grapes in the world, Oregon wine regions are equipped with a climate that produces the most incredibly tasting wines, especially Pinot Noir. Oregon Wine Map From the rolling, green hills of the Willamette Valley and the bench lands that soar on Columbia’s River Gorge, the Oregon wine producing regions stretch all the way to the state’s south. Most of the wineries in the region are small producing approximately just five thousand cases annually. This is because Oregon winemakers are families, environmental stewards and farmers who believe in quality rather than quantity artisan wine. Many offerings of winery products from the region are not available anywhere else and are available exclusively in the wine-tasting rooms of each vintner found tucked in foothills and along Oregon country paths. Some offer breathtakingly vast views of lower landscapes. Besides beautiful tasting rooms featuring superior wines, wine lovers can select from Oregon wine varieties including Riesling, Merlot, Chardonnay, Pinot Gris and Pinot Noir, among others. The state also produces dessert wine, ice wine, late harvest wine and sparkling wine.
