A Napa Valley Wine Tour
This estate is lush with the overgrowth of olive trees that are a hundred years old as well as Mediterranean plants and grass. The grounds of the winery are alive with grape vines, Malbec and three different kinds of Cabernet Sauvignon. The winery entrance has a landmark black stallion caught in the middle of moving. This sculpture is placed right at the winery entrance festooned with figs that creep against a backdrop of volcanic rocks. There are two tasting rooms and sampling the wines of Black Stallion will most likely result in you not wanting to explore any other winery. Guests can relax as they sit around a large tasting bar shaped like a circle. One popular activity in the valley is the Napa Valley Wine Train. It is available by single ticket or special events serving outstanding Napa wines and a gourmet lunch or dinner. Outside as the train slowly moves through the heart of the wine country you can see many of the famous wineries to the northern tip of the valley before the train turns around and heads back the depot in the downtown Napa city center. Your next stop on the tour can be Flora Springs Winery, which features more than six hundred fifty acres of vineyards in nine Napa Valley locations. This gives Flora Springs the advantage of starting the process of winemaking from the ground up, including selecting the location, the varietal, the method of planting and every detail necessary for great California wine. Their specialties include Merlot, Sangiovese, Chardonnay, Cabernet Sauvignon, Trilogy and the blend Soliloquy. In the heart of Napa Valley you will most likely pass through the well-known Rutherford Bench where the Alpha Omega Winery is located. This is one of the newest boutique wineries in the region. Surrounded by mountains and vineyard, this rustic style of wine making is almost as awe inspiring as the wine itself. Not sure about navigating from one winery to another? There are several wine tours and limousine services available in Napa. There is the added advantage the limo driver won't be drinking so everyone in your party can enjoy. Those who love underground cellars and stone wineries will need to go the V. Sattui in the course of their tour. It is one of the most visited and popular wineries in the valley. After which, a wine tasting of California Bordeaux and Chardonnay grapes by a fountain is available at the William Hill Winery.
